Sponsoring the Future of Powerlifting
Powerlifting is an amateur sport. Although we represent the U.S. at the World level , it is not funded by the government.
It is up to each athlete to generate their own funds for travel and training expenses. Sometimes we do fund-raisers as a way in which to fund our sport individually. But the majority of the cost is left to us. This is where you can help. Below is a general list of what kind of cost is associated with the sport.
I compete in three different federations during the year (USAPL, WABDL and Pride Powerlifting). The cost of each competition varies due to travel.
Below are several ways you can help fund me personally as I prepare for the following trips. Online Donation:
USAPL Seattle Summer Classic June 27, 2009
NAPF PanAm Games, Miami, Aug 6, 2009
You may sponsor by one of the following:
The recent article in the paper reported I am having a raffle to help send me to Pan Am games in Aug. I am not able to have a raffle in this state because of the gambling laws.
Instead, I will be holding a free drawing! The drawing will be held July 24th. It will be to win three 50 minute massage therapy sessions at the Body Clinic in Spokane, WA. There is no purchase necessary to partcipate. However, donations are welcome. To enter the drawing, print your first and last name as well as your phone number on a 3x5 index card and mail it to:
